#WeNeedAnswers. We are working with partners nationwide to convene an ‘Emergency Community Conversation’ on Monday 12 August at 6.30pm - 8pm.
#WeNeedAnswers. The purpose of this ‘Emergency Community Conversation’ is to convene groups and individuals from across the country to understand the current situation, assess the response, identify community needs and put forward demands.
#WeNeedAnswers. We’re extremely disturbed by evidence and reports from across our network of organised mobs targeting and attacking Black and racially minoritised people, community buildings, Mosques, graves, and infrastructure across the country.
#WeNeedAnswers. We're deeply concerned by how the current political environment and misinformation is fueling racism, Islamophobia, and hostility towards asylum seekers, refugees and migrants, as a scapegoat for deep socio-economic inequalities.
#WeNeedAnswers. This should be a time to grieve after the horrific attack in Southport, which led to the tragic death of three young girls and violence against many other women. This tragedy should not be exploited to sow division, hatred and justify acts of violence against Black & racially minoritised communities across the UK.
