#WeNeedAnswers: An Emergency Community Conversation on 12th August. Register here
In 2020, The Ubele Initiative launched the #WeNeedAnswers campaign, demanding accountability and action in the face of systemic injustices. Today, we find ourselves in a similar situation and once again, we need answers.
To address the current crisis, we have convened an ‘Emergency community conversation’ on Monday, 12th August, at 6:30 pm.
The purpose of this conversation is to bring together groups and individuals from across the country to understand the current situation, assess the response, identify community needs, and put forward demands.
The following organisations are supporting this Emergency Community Conversation:
- Alliance of Police Accountability
- Black Equity Organisation
- Caribbean & African Health Network
- Jacqueline McKenzie, Head of Immigration and Asylum at Leigh Day
- Inclusive North
- Muslim Charities Forum
- Race Equality Foundation
- Runnymede Trust
- The Ubele Initiative
