We founded The Ubele Initiative in 2014 with a mission to contribute to the sustainability of the African Diaspora community in the UK and build a better future. We are a new inter-generational community building initiative which aims to increase our community’s capacity to lead, and create innovative and entrepreneurial social responses to some of our most stuck social issues.
1. Purpose of the policy
1.2. We take seriously the protection of your privacy and confidentiality and we understand that you are entitled to know that your personal data will not be used for any unintended purpose and will not accidentally fall into the hands of a third party.

3.1. We take your privacy seriously and will only use your personal information for our internal record keeping and to:
· send you our monthly newsletter
· share with you the information about our programmes, trainings, events etc.
· get your feedback on the programme, event or activity we run/organized
· inform you about other opportunities that our partners provide and you might be interested in participating in and/or applying for

You might provide us with your contact information, whether through use of a newsletter sign up form on our website, an interaction with our team member, or a response to one of own application forms or surveys.

We collect usage information about you whenever you interact with our websites and services. This includes which webpages you visit, what you click on, when you perform those actions, what language preference you have, and so on.
· Information from third parties and integration partners.
We collect your personal information or data from third parties if you give permission to those third parties to share your information with us or where you have made that information publically available online.
3.3 We will hold your personal information for as long as you give us your consent to do so. If you ask for your personal information to be deleted we will manage your request in a transparent way.
4. Data shared with third parties
a. As part of the registration process for our monthly newsletter, we collect personal information.
b. We use that information to contact you if we need to obtain or provide additional information, to send you additional information about opportunities/activities we and/or our partners provide and to check every now and then that you’re happy and satisfied. We don't rent or trade email lists with other organisations and businesses.
c. We use a third-party provider, MailChimp, to deliver our newsletter and information on opportunities/activities. We gather statistics around email opening and clicks using industry standard technologies to help us monitor and improve our newsletter.

a. Our website is hosted by Squarespace. Squarespace uses analytics tools to help us measure traffic and usage trends for our site. This way we find out things such as the number of visitors to the various parts of the site.
