This session will give you a brief overview of the benefits of storytelling as a way of presenting your work in funding applications.

The Ubele Initiative, Mind, Best Beginnings and Young Minds have collaborated to develop Bayo. Bayo, meaning ‘Joy has found us’ in Yoruba, is a first of its kind digital space to find collectives, organisations and services across the UK run by and for the Black community that supports mental health and wellbeing.

These fundraising workshops have been designed to support Black-led collectives, initiatives and community-run services.

THIS SESSION WILL GIVE YOU A BRIEF OVERVIEW OF THE BENEFITS OF STORYTELLING AS A WAY OF PRESENTING YOUR WORK IN APPLICATIONS, APPEALS PRIMARILY BUT ALSO APPLICABLE TO PRESENTATIONS.

Join this interactive session to:

• Discuss some ideas around structure and content

• Explore the benefits or obstacles of focusing on one principal story.

We will share with you some hints and tips on incorporating stories no matter what the application format or word limits you’re dealing with.
