An Immersive workshop exploring the process of Bereavement in Turkish Cypriot, Filipino & traditional African Orisha communities.
Are you a counsellor, therapist, community worker or someone who works with or supports people from Black and racially minoritised communities experiencing grief, bereavement, and loss?
Join us for an Immersive workshop exploring the process of Bereavement in Turkish Cypriot, Filipino & traditional African Orisha communities. Acquire a greater understanding of diversity in the context of grief, loss and bereavement.
This workshop will include an address from people from Turkish Cypriot, Filipino & traditional African Orisha communities, who will share their knowledge on end of life and grief as it is practiced in their respective communities as well as other methods of immersive and experiential learning. We hope that participants on the training will be upskilled with a focus on providing interventions that are culturally relevant as it is based on an immersive sharing, questioning, and learning approach.
To adhere to social distancing guidelines, we are keeping attendees to a small group of no more than 30.
Each session will be an immersive in-person session using creative activities and engagement over a period of 4 1/2 hours 10.00 am to 2.30 pm (with a lunch break).
