How can we best support and prepare Black and racially minoritised young people for new rhythms of work that are currently emerging?

Calling all people and organisations across the system of employment and underemployment (including young people, employers, employment services, job centres, local authority workers, youth workers, careers workers and activists).

Ubele would like to invite you to discuss the evolving landscape of ‘work’ and what this means for a Black and or Racially Minoritised young person in 2023. This roundtable is a part of a wider initiative in partnership with the Youth Futures Foundation (YFF) which will build an evidence base on best practices for getting young people from Black and Minoritised communities into sustainable employment.

The event will include a presentation from the Youth Futures Foundation, which will give attendees an insight into the foundation and some of the project it has funded. We will then follow with a world café style process facilitated by the Ubele team which will explore the concept of or ‘work’ in 2023 and how we can best support and develop services that prepare Black and Racially Minoritised young people to undertake such ‘work’.

This will be an interactive and participatory event which will allow attendees to network and share their insights, expertise and examples of best practice.

We look forward to meeting you!
