Get your hands dirty in our clay plastering workshop with natural materials expert Will Stanwix at Wolves Lane. Learn how to create clay plasters from scratch using clay dug from the site and how to apply them to various substrates.

This workshop covers practical application, so come prepared to get your hands dirty and unleash your creativity! The workshops will be located at the Wolves Lane Centre, a food growing site that is working towards a more socially and racially just food system and building community resilience.

Three new buildings are under construction on the site that will form a community hall, classrooms and barn. Designed by Material Cultures and Studio Gil they are constructed from timber and straw, with concrete free foundations.

Wherever possible the construction process is being used as an opportunity for skills exchange and learning. This has included apprenticeships, training of site users and volunteers, straw bale and lime plastering training. Read more here

The workshops are being held on an active building site and may pose issues for those in wheelchairs or with reduced mobility. Reach out to us if you would like more information and photos in order to assess together whether you would be able to access the site.
