We reaching out to its network of organisations working with young people to support our latest national research programme. We have been grant funded by Youth Futures Foundation (YFF) to conduct a national baseline analysis of the needs, future training and employment opportunities within the manual trades sector with a focus on young people aged 16 to 24 year olds.

The purpose of the research is to better understand young people's thoughts around the manual trades, their participation on programmes focused on the construction industry and manual trades and any barriers or perceptions of the industry. The research will also be looking at what routes exist to enter the manual trade industry, amongst other areas of concerns.

We are seeking your help and support in bringing this to the attention of those young people you are working with who might be interested in the manual trades. We would like to be able to reach as many young people as possible right across the UK to gauge their views on a number of areas of exploration. There will be an opportunity to engage in face to face conversation through our Peer Researchers, who will be reaching out in October.

The survey will run through to Friday, 29th October 2021, and should take about 5 minutes to complete.
