Race and Class Journal publishes a piece examining the war from an anti racist perspective

On the anniversary of Russia’s invasion of Ukraine, Race & Class journal publishes this new piece by Liz Fekete, a leading expert on European racism, with one of the first attempts to analyse the consequences of the war from an anti-racist, internationalist viewpoint.

Civilisational racism, ethnonationalism and the clash of imperialisms in Ukraine, pinpoints the need to examine how new geopolitics, changing imperialisms and the entrenching of a racism built on a 19th century-style civilisational hierarchy and revanchist nationalisms are emerging in the fall-out of the war.

Have your say on Haringey's future recycling strategy

Haringey Council wants to hear from all residents about how we can reduce the waste we produce and recycle more. Currently 30.1% of household waste in the borough is recycled. Haringey wants to increase this to 50%. This is part of Haringey’s Destination 50% idea.

To help them understand what changes are needed to increase the recycling rate in the borough, they have designed a survey asking residents about their recycling behaviour.

The survey runs until Sunday 12th March 2023. You can find the survey online here – Have your say on our future recycling strategy (office.com)
