Understanding leadership in Black and Minoritised communities in the UK - SURVEY

December 22nd, 2021

Clore Social and The Ubele Initiative have come together to understand and shine a light on leadership in Black and Minoritised communities in the UK.

The pandemic has challenged our communities exceptionally, and as we recover and reboot, we would like to know what support leaders need to improve their skills and ethical practice.

We want to connect with leaders who work with social purpose and who are serving black communities. If you are working or volunteering in the social sector, responsible for managing people or projects, we want to hear from you. Tell us who you are as a leader; what skills you have and which ones you need; tell us what you think our sector needs to be strong and effective.

The purpose of this survey is to:

1) identify the needs of Black & Minoritised social leaders, activists and advocates;

2) examine the current provision of training and resources available to these leaders; and

3) identify potential partnership opportunities for Clore Social Leadership Programme.

These partnerships will enable Clore Social to participate in knowledge- and power-exchange initiatives by sharing our leadership development IP and expertise.

The National Lottery Community Fund has supported us to run a pilot programme of research and practical learning, with the intention of building a cadre of strong black and brown leaders. The feedback you provide in this questionnaire will help us to design a wider programme in the next few years.

The survey will take no longer than 8 minutes to complete.

The closing date is the 17th of January 2022.
