WWoW Cycling Sessions

WWoW Cycling Sessions

Wise Women on Wheels, is a new and exciting 10 week cycling and road awareness training for Black and Minority Ethnic (BME) women 45+ living and/or working in Haringey. The Ubele initiative has collaborated with the Rockstone foundation to aid teaching and support the women in improving their cycling proficiency.

This project is currently based in Lordship recreation ground in a safe environment where the women can build their confidence. We are currently half way through the first 10-week course of WWoW and we already have women confidently riding their bikes. By the end of the programme we would like all women to know how to cycle and go on a short bike ride around the local area. Lastly next year spring we hope to organise a women’s cycling weekend in Haringey to engage the community and celebrate our female cyclists.
